Apple Intelligence Ready: Apple iPhone 16 price
Apple’s future artificial intelligence technologies are optimized for the company’s latest iPhone models. For even better pictures, the new phones also have an interactive shutter button.
Apple has announced the upcoming iPhone by flipping the page on its calendar. It should come as no surprise that the iPhone 16 is the following model, following the iPhone 15. The iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max are in the lineup. The phones were unveiled in Cupertino, California, during the company’s yearly September hardware event. (Additionally, new Apple Watches were revealed.)
The Action Button is now present on every iPhone in this series, and there’s a new Camera Control button just for taking pictures, two new features that set the newest iPhones apart from the models that came before them. Overall, a lot of the enhancements are found in the software, known as iOS 18, which, if your device is suitable, can also be downloaded starting next week. All of the Apple Intelligence features that were previously revealed this year are intended to be utilized by the iPhone 16 models; however, many of them won’t be available until the iOS 18.1 update releases in October.

The 16-inch iPhone
Although the camera configuration on the iPhone 16 is vertical rather than diagonal, the device otherwise appears the same. With a slightly larger screen—the iPhone 16 Pro Max is 6.9 inches, up from 6.7 inches—and a screen that is 6.3 inches (up from 6.1 inches), the iPhone 16 Pro range is more similar to its predecessors than not. Apple has minimized screen area by shaving the edges of the phones, but they aren’t noticeably larger.
All of these iPhones have the Action Button, which was introduced by Apple in the previous year. The Mute switch is replaced with this. The Action Button can be configured to switch on a shortcut, a flashlight, or any other setting. If you’re missing the Mute switch, you can even configure it to work exactly like one (though it’s significantly less gratifying).

You can swipe through the zoom levels with this light push by sliding your finger on the Camera Control button; you may switch between modes by double-pressing the button. When filming, you can utilize this light press to keep the camera focused on a certain subject.
Over the years, we’ve seen a dedicated shutter button on a number of smartphones, most notably Sony’s Xperia models. However, Camera Control is not limited to shooting pictures. Additionally, Apple uses this to make it simple for you to become more aware of the world around you. When you point your iPhone at something and press the Camera Control button, you can see what your camera is focused on. For instance, by using this feature—which Apple refers to as Visual Intelligence—on the name of a restaurant, you may access information like reservations, the menu, and the establishment’s hours. You can add the advertised event to your calendar by taking a picture of a flier that is posted on a wall. (Yes, it functions similarly to Google Lens.)
The A18 chip is used by all iPhone 16 models, in contrast to those made recently. Alright, nearly. The A18 is used in the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus, whereas the “A18 Pro” is used in the Pro variants. The neural processing unit in these chipsets can process AI jobs twice as quickly. According to Apple, the system’s memory (RAM) has been strengthened by 17%, which should aid in the operation of processor-intensive AI functions.
Apple claims that the A18, which is constructed using a 3-nanometer technology, is 30% quicker than the iPhone 15 and 60% faster than the iPhone 12. In terms of visuals, tasks requiring a lot of graphics should see a 40% speed increase. According to Apple, the CPU, GPU, and neural engine of the Pro models are all sixteen percent, twenty percent, and fifteen percent quicker than those of the A17 Pro. Although the A18 Pro has one more GPU core than the A18, the bigger cache sizes of the A18 Pro also theoretically result in somewhat faster CPU performance.
Intelligence from Apple and iOS 18
Many of the upgrades in iOS 18—I’ve compiled the best features here—will actually make your new iPhone 16 feel even more new.
