Google India Responds to Shah Rukh Khan's "Google Me" Remark at the Locarno Film Festival
SRK received the Pardo alla Carriera at the film festival as a mark of honor.
New Delhi: On Saturday, Shah Rukh Khan received the Pardo alla Carriera, popularly known as the Career Leopard, at the 77th Locarno Film Festival in Switzerland. SRK cracked a joke during the film festival, saying, “For those who don’t know me, leave, google me, and then come back.” At the ceremony, he later gave a self-introduction—not that he needs one—saying, “My name is Shah Rukh Khan and I work in Indian film, primarily Hindi.” Tech behemoth Google India tagged the actor in an X (formerly known as Twitter) post and removed the crown emoji in response to the actor’s “Google me and then come back” joke, because King Khan.

The upcoming movie starring Shah Rukh Khan is called King, and Sujoy Ghosh is directing it. “I finished Jawan and Dunki last year,” said SRK, confirming his involvement in the production at the Locarno Film Festival. I want to do a specific sort of film right now. Since I’ve been trying it for more than seven years, perhaps it’s more age-centric. I brought it up to Sujoy Ghosh in my workplace one day. “Sir, I have a subject,” he remarked.
