The ‘West Bengal Students‘ Samaj’ has requested that Navanna Abhiyan be held on Tuesday in opposition to the RG tax controversy. Tight security has been put in place around this operation in several areas of Howrah and Kolkata. The event will begin at 1 pm on Tuesday, according to the announcement made by the student group. Basically, two locations are intended for the gathering. The demonstrators will then go to Navanna after that.

‘West Bengal Chhatra Samaj’ has released the schedule for Tuesday’s Navanna Abhiyan on social media. In essence, it is claimed to congregate at the Santragachi Bus Stand and College Square. The procession will head toward the Navanna from these two locations. The procession is scheduled to start at College Square and travel via Central Avenue, Dharmatala, Eden Gardens, and Hastings to reach Nabanna. The other procession will travel the Kona Expressway from the Santragachi bus stop to Nabanna.

‘West Bengal Chhatra Samaj’ spokesperson Sion Lahiri announced during a news conference that the event will take place on Tuesday at 1 pm in College Square in Kolkata and Santragachi in Howrah. The procession will thereafter proceed in the direction of Navanna. The march will end where the police decide to do so. Sion clarified, though, that they are unsure of the anticipated number of attendees and automobiles on Tuesday.

The Navanna raid on Tuesday was conducted without approval from the state police. According to reports, the police were not consulted beforehand about the raid, but on Monday afternoon, two emails were received. But the Nabanna campaign was blocked by the police due to a number of issues.

Officers on the scene to halt Navanna action. On Tuesday, there would be almost 21,000 police officers on the streets of Howrah and Kolkata put together. There are several barricade forts along the route to Navanna. There are barricades on the Aligli as well as the main road. At Santragachi, Howrah Maidan, Forshore Road, Laxminarayantala, and Mandirtala, substantial barricades are being built. Barricades are also erected around the street faces of Navanna. Drones and water cannons are present.
