Vicky Kaushal is scheduled to make his big-screen comeback as the renowned Maratha warrior Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj in director Laxman Utekar’s forthcoming film Chhaava, following the success of Bad Newz. In the movie, Rashmika Mandanna will play Yesubai Bhonsale. The teaser for the film was released by the producers on Monday, and it shows Vicky fighting and howling in a violent avatar on the battlefield.

A fierce battle rages on the banks of a river at the start of the teaser, laying the groundwork for Vicky Kaushal’s towering presence as Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. “We call Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj a lion, and we call Chhaava the lion’s child,” begins Vicky’s voiceover. Next, the screen displays Vicky mounted on a horse while clad in combat gear. In the pictures that follow, he is shown facing a sea of adversaries by himself with great bravery.
