The actor Mrunal Thakur has denied the rumors that he and actress Prabhas will be collaborating on a movie together. On Wednesday, a news source posted a rumor on Instagram claiming that Mrunal Thakur will play a significant part in Prabhas’ upcoming movie, Fauji. “Sorry to be a vibe killer!,” the performer, who is well-known for her roles in Love Sonia, Sita Ramam, Super 30, Jersey, and Hi Nanna, said in a comment on the post. However, I’m not in this movie.”
The rumor states that Hanu Raghavapudi will helm Fauji, and the film’s developers plan to reveal the first image on August 17. Curiously, Thakur recently made a brief appearance in Kalki 2898 AD, Prabhas’ most recent film, which also starred Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone, and Amitabh Bachchan in significant parts. The movie, which became the highest grossing of 2024, was released on June 27 in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi.

Future undertakings for Mrunal
Among the major projects that Mrunal Thakur is working on are Vishwambara, which also stars Trisha Krishnan, Rana Daggubati, Chiranjeevi, and Isha Chawla. She will reportedly play the lead role in David Dhawan’s upcoming film, Baby John, which also stars Janhvi Kapoor and Varun Dhawan.
Aside from these, she will be in Son of Sardaar 2 with Ajay Devgn. The film is scheduled for release in the second half of 2025, and pre-production is presently underway. But after that, she’ll be seen with Huma Qureshi and Vijay Raaz in Pooja Meri Jaan.
Regarding Kalki in 2898 AD
Kalki 2898 AD, directed by Nag Aswin, is set in a dystopian future that begins six thousand years after the events of the Kurukshetra War in the Mahabharata. It tells the tale of a contemporary manifestation of the Hindu deity Vishnu, who is supposed to have come to Earth to save humanity from evil powers.
The soundtrack for the massively successful film was composed by Santhosh Narayanan and was produced by Vyjayanthi Movies. In addition to Rajendra Prasad, Disha Patani, Saswata Chatterjee, Brahmanandam, Anna Ben, Shobana, Mrunal Thakur, Dulquer Salmaan, and Vijay Deverakonda in important roles, the ensemble cast is directed by Nag Ashwin. On June 27, Kalki 2899 AD was launched. The movie was also released in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada in addition to Hindi.
