With the introduction of the Curvv EV, India’s first coupe SUV for the mainstream market, Tata Motors has made a major advancement in the development of electric vehicles in the nation. As the first mass-market coupe SUV in India, Tata Motors’ formal debut of the Curvv EV on August 7th represents a crucial turning point for the country’s automotive sector. During the launch ceremony, Shailesh Chandra, the Managing Director of Tata Motors, announced that 12 percent of the company’s sales are currently made up of electric vehicles.
At 11:49 am on August 7, the share price of Tata Motors was up 0.57%, or ₹1019.45, on the BSE. With a market capitalization of ₹3,38,948.94 crore, the firm is doing well.
The electric version is being unveiled during the launch event, while the internal combustion engine (ICE) versions are anticipated to be unveiled the following month.
Here is the full pricing list for the Tata Tata Curvv.ev, which was released in India with a starting price of Rs 17.49 lakh (Ex-showroom introductory). On September 2nd, the Tata Curvv ICE’s complete pricing will be revealed.
The Curvv EV has a unique appearance because to its sloping roofline, which highlights its coupe-like form. The primary headlights are positioned lower, and the front fascia features a linked LED daytime running light (DRL) strip covering the bonnet. The Tata Nexon and the Curvv have similar designs, but the Curvv stands out thanks to its flush-fitting door handles and 18-inch alloy wheels.
After eight years, Tata Motors has introduced a brand-new vehicle to the Indian market.
Important characteristics and details of the Tata Curvv EV
The Tata Curvv EV’s primary features are its 18-inch wheels, 190 mm of ground clearance, and 450 mm water wading depth. The car has 500 liters of cargo capacity and a balanced 50:50 weight distribution.
With only 15 minutes of charging time, the 150 km range of the Tata Curvv EV will be achievable thanks to its 1.2C charging rate.
There will be three engine options available for the Tata Curvv ICE: two petrol and one diesel. This features the 125 horsepower and 225 Nm torque of the brand-new Hyperion GDi engine.
Six airbags, ESP, all-wheel disc brakes, and a number of additional convenience and safety features are standard on the Curvv EV. In addition, it has Level 2 ADAS and auditory alerts for pedestrian safety.
