Social media praises Biden's welcoming White House Diwali party.
First Lady Dr. Jill Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris were unable to attend the President’s House Diwali event. The presidential campaign kept the two occupied.
Washington: As the Hindu holiday of Diwali began Monday, US President Joe Biden gave Vice President Kamala Harris, who is in a close race for the White House with US President Donald Trump, heartfelt praise. “Now, vice president of the United States, [she] has more experience than the whole of that other guy she’s running against,” Biden stated. “But most importantly, and I mean it sincerely from the bottom of my heart, she has character.”
Harris skipped Biden’s Diwali festivities.
Due to their campaign schedules, Vice President Kamala Harris and First Lady Dr. Jill Biden were unable to attend the ceremony.
“Every aspect of American society has been enhanced by the South Asian American population. And the truth is that. Additionally, it is one of the nation’s most active and rapidly expanding communities. In America, we reflect on that life journey on this day. The previous generation, [inaudible], in the shadow of suspicion, early in the formation of our country. Here at the White House, Diwali is now publicly and enthusiastically celebrated. This isn’t my house, by the way. This is your home.
White House Diwali celebrations
India’s most significant holiday of the year is Diwali, the Hindu festival of lights. “When we work together, we may demonstrate the strength of the light—the light of truth, unity, and knowledge. that liberty for America and democracy.
