Hardik Pandya slapped with INR 24 lakh fine, MI stars and Rohit Sharma were also disciplined for violating the IPL code of conduct.
Hardik Pandya and the MI players faced slow over rate penalties during the match against LSG on Tuesday.

The Mumbai Indians and Hardik Pandya don’t appear to be out of trouble. Their skipper Hardik and every player in the playing XI were fined for keeping a sluggish over rate during the match, which came hours after they suffered their seventh loss to Lucknow Super Giants in the ongoing Indian Premier League season. Since this was the team’s second infraction of the year, Hardik received a fine of INR 24 lakh, and each player received a penalty of INR 6 lakh.
“Pandya was fined ₹24 Lakh because it was his team’s second offense of the season in relation to minimum over-rate offenses under the IPL’s Code of Conduct.
“The remaining players in the starting lineup, which included the Impact Player, were all fined INR 6 Lac or 25% of their individual match fees, whichever was smaller,” the statement continued.
Tuesday night’s effort by the Mumbai Indians was also lackluster as they were limited to 144/7 after KL Rahul ordered them to bat. Earlier in the day, Hardik Pandya, who was selected as the vice-captain of India for the T20 World Cup, left for a first-ball duck. With just 4 runs from 5 deliveries, Indian captain Rohit Sharma, meanwhile, was likewise unable to leave his mark.
Playoff prospects are declining
Furthermore, MI’s final four games are against clubs that are very much in the running for the top four spots: Sunris Hyderabad, Lucknow Super Giants, and Kolkata Knight Riders (twice).
