- Step 1: Download the DigiLocker app to your smartphone or visit the DigiLocker website.
- Step 2: To get an OTP, click “Sign Up” and enter your cellphone number.
- Step 3: Set up your DigiLocker account by entering the OTP and creating a username and password.
- Step 4: Upload identity documents or enter your Aadhaar number to be verified.
- Step 5: Your DigiLocker account will be successfully created and operational after your identification has been verified.
Note: You can still sign up for DigiLocker using your cellphone number if you don’t have an Aadhaar number. In certain situations, identity documents will be needed for verification.
