Sachin Tendulkar's Tribute To James Anderson's Retirement Tears Up The Internet
Tendulkar scored 2,535 runs at 51.73 in 32 Test matches against England, including seven hundreds and thirteen fifties, while James Anderson grabbed 149 wickets in 39 Test matches against India with six fifers.
Legendary Sachin Tendulkar paid a gorgeous homage to his “old foe” James Anderson, the great cricketer from England, who finished his nearly two-decade career on Friday, stating it was a “joy to watch” him bowl. The 41-year-old Anderson helped England defeat the West Indies by an innings 114 runs at Lord’s, and he left with a remarkable record of 704 wickets from 188 Tests, including 32 five-wicket hauls. “Hi Jimmy! The fans are blown away by your amazing 22-year tenure. As you say goodbye, here’s a little wish from Tendulkar on his “X” account.
“Watching you bowl has been enjoyable because of your motion, pace, accuracy, swing, and fitness. With your game, you’ve inspired generations,“ he continued.
After declaring retirement in 2013, Tendulkar wanted Anderson to enjoy a great time with his family away from the highs and lows of playing professional cricket.
Tendulkar added, “As you put those new shoes on for the most important spell of your life – the time with family – I wish you a wonderful life ahead with good health and happiness.”

You've bowled the fans over with that incredible 22-year spell. Here's a little wish as you bid goodbye.
It has been a joy to watch you bowl - with that action, speed, accuracy, swing and fitness. You've inspired generations with your game.

The Indian batting mastery was regarded by Anderson as the “best bowler” he had ever faced, demonstrating the mutual respect between them.
I would have to argue that Sachin Tendulkar is the best batter. I don’t recall having a particular strategy in mind when playing Sachin Tendulkar. I used to think that I couldn’t bowl poorly here once he entered the game because he was that kind of guy.
He was also crucial for India. The entire vibe in India shifts if you bring him outside. Anderson had told Sky Sports that Anderson was “such a big wicket.”
