Kate Fallon: View the horrific head injury that a 17-year-old girl sustained after she was allegedly beaten by a female football star over a botched food delivery.
On the eve of the national season, women’s rugby league has been rocked by accusations that a Parramatta player raped a neighbor.
According to police, last Wednesday, following an incident at an apartment complex in Chifley, in Sydney’s east, 20-year-old Kate Fallon allegedly put a 17-year-old girl in the hospital with head injuries.
The adolescent was rushed to Prince of Wales Hospital, where, according to her father, she underwent three stitches for a 5 centimeter gash to the head.
The incident, which was made public before of Thursday’s NRLW season opening between Newcastle and the Sydney Roosters, is known to Parramatta and the NRL.
Police are going to claim that the incident happened because of a meal order delivery. According to the victim’s father, his daughter knocked on neighbors’ doors after she didn’t get her $70 order.
“(Kate Fallon) said she never received it and knew nothing about it, and before you know it, (my daughter) has been stabbed in the head,” the unnamed father said on Sydney radio 2GB on Wednesday.
“She said it all happened so quick, before she knew it she was fighting.”
When officers arrived at the apartment building at 1:30 pm, Fallon was taken into custody and brought to the Maroubra police station.
On a single charge of assault resulting in actual bodily injury, she was discharged.
On August 14, Kate Fallon is scheduled to appear in Waverley Local Court.
She had been added to Parramatta‘s reserves for their round one match against Brisbane, scheduled for this Saturday.
The club released a statement saying, “The Parramatta Eels are aware of an incident involving a player from our NRLW team.“
“The club followed our standard procedure and notified the NRL integrity unit. The club will not be commenting further at this time as it is a police matter.“
